Inspirational Quote
This morning I got a great email from Sean that included an amazing quote which I wanted to share!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
-Nelson Mandela

Crepes & Crepes!!
In honor of Mardi Gras (and in keeping with our $20 lunch tradition) Sarah and I went to Crepes & Crepes today for lunch. It was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time!

Since it is fat Tuesday we also decided to share a Nutella crepe & got it for free thanks to our witty waiter.

This was the savory crepe I had, it was basically a margarita pizza in a crepe!

I can't wait for my next Crepes & Crepes experience, only next time it needs to involve wine!

This weekend I was very lucky to have Sean come visit. I know how much he hates flying, and the fact that he will get on a plane and potentially fly into a snowstorm makes me feel special.
If you know me well you know that I love chinese food, so staying in and ordering chinese made for the perfect valentines day. I really couldn't have asked for a better weekend!!
Sean - I know you read this blog, which is awesome, and I just want to say thank you for everything. You are the sweetest and most thoughtful person I know & I can't wait for mexico!!

Girls Weekend Anyone?
My grandparents, particularly my grandma, love hearing stories about girls weekends and trips to the mountains. Since they know I love staying up in the mountains so much they have offered me their timeshare for a long weekend in Beaver Creek! I am pretty obsessed with Beaver Creek and think it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It was built to be a luxury ski town and it is amazing! Any and all of my girlfriends are welcome.... here is where we will be staying.....
Pretty Pink Camera :)
When I was in Vegas my old camera took a little swim in a Vodka Redbull late night at Tao :( I love taking pictures and sadly my camera has not returned to it's normal working state.
The good news is.... last night I ordered this pretty princess online! Can't wait til she arrives next week :)

EXCITING!!
My day today started out pretty rough.... I was woken up at 1:45 and couldn't fall back asleep until 3am and had to be at work at 7am. Death.

I got to work and started going through my normal routine, then left to go to our annual company kickoff meeting at the Magnolia Hotel. Despite the tumultuous economy, I am proud to say that I love the company I work for and feel secure in my job. Our kickoff meeting was done via webcast so that all 4 of our offices could watch the speech given by our Chairman & CEO at the same time. He is an amazing speaker/motivator/person and its always exciting to hear him talk.
After the webcast was finished the heads of our office said we had one last matter of business to take care of and that they were going to call some people to the front of the room. The recent buzz around the office has been about a "5-Star" trip to mexico - basically a year long competition put in place to motivate people to sell their little hearts out. I figured they must have been announcing the names of the 5-Stars winners and really hadn't thought I had a chance in hell at winning. They began calling the names.... Matt Butler...Ed Wood.... Dane Hinnen...Lisa Cotter -- wait what! Did they just say my name?? "Ok this must be for something else" was the thought that was going through my head, "there is no way this is for 5 Stars" the rest of the names were called and when everyone had made it to the front Laurie said "do you all know who these people are, and do you know where they will be in 96 days? These are your 5 Stars and they are going to mexico!"
I'm basically still in shock and my main reason for blogging about it is I had to just get it out. I am so excited, I was shaking and basically in tears because I really didn't think there was any chance I'd make the cut. Anyway, enough typing, I don't think I've typed anything this long since college (thats embarassing) but incase you are interested in a preview of where we are going here is the website: http://www.secretsresorts.com/capri/index.html and here are some pictures:

The gym is calling my name.... only 96 days to get bikini ready!

Daydreaming....
For some reason during these cold winter months all I can think about is a tropical vacation. Ok I must admit we have had a really mild winter here in Colorado, not too much snow and it really isn't that cold, but I am still in desperate need of some beach time. I need a week with nothing to do but lay on the beach, get tan and drink a corona.
